Barcelona, Spain was the site of the 1992 Summer Olympic Games. Even if you didn't watch much of the Games, you may have seen the dramatic lighting of the Olympic torch at the opening ceremonies. Typically, the torch is lit by a runner who jogs up to the platform, but this time the flame was lit by an archer who ignited the torch by shooting a flaming arrow into it from several hundred feet away.
